Invention: Putter ring
Inventor: Kevin Anderson
Inventor’s location: Herndon, USA
The invention of the putter ring has helped Kevin Anderson to appear on a golf inventor reality show.
Kevin is a golf instructor. He
was able to overcome the skeptical comments of his comments while developing the putter ring, which can be used as a golf training tool.
Kevin Anderson says he was inspired by his morning cup of coffee! According to him, he was having his morning cup of coffee while he noticed that the top had a different size than a hole on a golf course. So, he started working on his dream. Initially, the putter ring was a piece of cardboard, with holes decreasing in size. So, this could be used to train someone to putt better. By 1997, Anderson got a patent for his invention.
Of course, after this, he has improved it a lot. Now, it is a solid plastic turning device which can be placed anywhere. It can be placed at the putting green, or even at home. The golfers can be trained by changing the size of the putting target, gradually improving their aim.
Anderson’s final words? “Sometimes it’s not about the final product as much as it’s about getting there.”
