A lot of gullible aspiring inventors fall for this. Now, let me tell this straight. There are indeed some invention marketing companies (very few) who really take an honest effort to market and sell your invention.

But most of the times, it is not so – they are out their just to get your money. Almost always, your invention meets their “high standards”. And, they will market it for you, you just need to sit back and relax (after making the payment, of course). If you pick up the phone and are able to talk to them, they will talk highly about your invention. “Things will happen, soon”. So, you sit back and relax, while your hard-earned money is in their pockets, safely!

Beware of those advertisements – no one I know of has heard of a single instance where such a company has been able to sell a patent or invention idea to a client. Especially, the ones who advertise “Need inventors” in classifieds and ads.

So, bottom line is: inventors, be cautious!
